Jennifer Woods
Co-founder + Creative Strategist

Jennifer’s a 3rd generation Tucsonan, who snuck away to San Diego for ten years where she honed her love of local food (especially sweet corn) with family dinners made often with the produce sourced from Chino Farms. After receiving her Bachelors of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Arizona, she moved up to Phoenix to work in foodservice field sales for Coca-Cola Fountain, Starbucks Foodservice and restaurant equipment supplier, R.W. Smith. She decided in 2006 to leave corporate America to support the local food community with her skill set and desire to create a more sustainable local food system. She met Natalie through Edible Phoenix magazine when their time working for the publication overlapped. She’s since created the Restaurant CSA, given countless farm tours, shared stories through social media and rich media like podcasting and video, taught cooking classes and has written over 300 articles for the Phoenix New Times food blog, Chow Bella. She received Arizona State University’s President’s Award for Sustainability in 2011 for her work with Crooked Sky Farms.
